Volunteer to Help the Loggerheads

The Town sponsors a loggerhead turtle protection program called the "Turtle Patrol." This group is comprised of over 100 property owner volunteers that monitor loggerhead turtle nesting and hatching.

You can help protect this endangered species by:

• turning out your beach front lights at night during the nesting season (May through September)
• staying out of the dunes
• preventing pets from going in the dunes
