Special Piccolo Spoleto Event Featuring Helen Beedle in Concert

 

Helen Beedle performs 19th century Americana with unique musicianship and flair. The result is an unforgettable performance that transports the audience to another time. From the flashy solo of L.M. Gottschalk’s “The Banjo” to the lyric strains of “Home Sweet Home”, the program’s repertoire also includes works by African American composers Thomas Greene Wiggins and Francis Johnson, the songs of Stephen Foster and George Root, and arrangements for cornet, piano and voice. Recent tours include concerts in West Virginia, Maryland, New York, South Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Michigan.  Helen will bring her performance to the Town on Thursday, May 22nd at 7:00 pm at the home of Mary Johnson at 259 Cordgrass Court.  Champagne and desserts to follow the performance.
