Meet Our New Community Services Officer
The Town is pleased to welcome Anthony Gallagher as our new community services officer. In this position, he will provide traffic assistance at the intersection of Kiawah Island Parkway and Beachwalker Drive during the peak hours and other times as needed, enforce certain town codes and other non-criminal police-related duties, provide patrol and community outreach, respond to non-criminal complaints, assist with emergency management, provide building checks, and perform a variety of other public safety and building inspection-related duties.
"I am elated to join the Public Safety Department and thankful for the warm welcome that I have received,” said Anthony. “In my new role, I look forward to contributing my public safety background and knowledge to maintain and further a safe and secure environment for all members and guests of the Kiawah Island community. I look forward to meeting and working with many of you soon.”
Anthony graduated from Moravian College with a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice and has more than 20 years of law enforcement experience. His experience includes community policing, public safety, security management, team leadership, physical security, and case management.
